AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Series

Service Description

This AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class series is for all owners who want to learn the fundamentals of positive reinforcement training and set a foundation of healthy habits with their puppy. Melissa's focus is on each individual puppy, although a curriculum is provided and taught, she believes each puppy needs their own unique curriculum based on each puppy's temperament, reinforcement preferences and comfort level being in a group setting. Come join us as we build a community of like-minded dog owners who believe that there is no need for force, fear or intimidation and that all dogs are capable of learning. There will be a strong concentration on loose leash walking, gentle body handling and grooming exercises, recall, calm greeting rituals with strangers and how to focus through distractions. At the end of the class series, earn your opportunity to receive your puppy's first AKC Title by passing a test that earns your fair share of bragging rights and a clear path to Canine Good Citizen Training, Therapy Dog Training & more!
